About Isabel’s

When in doubt, aim high…

Isabel Gordon

Welcome to Isabel’s kitchen corner, which I write to help spreading the word about Isabel’s naturally gluten and wheat free products, share recipes and gather support for our unique and delicious ‘pao de queijo’ mix ( AKA Dough balls mix), endeavouring to help this great product to continue to be available here in the UK for many years to come.

I’ve started my business producing the dough balls, I made them frozen ready to bake to begin with. The dough balls has been a project which required a lot of dedication to say the least. Introducing a new product into the market can be a really difficult task for many reasons, including a shoe string budget.

I’m passionate for the product and believe that many others would love it too if they had the chance to try them. I’m not coeliac, the reason I work with and develop gluten free products is to do with my background.

Innovation with clean label ingredients...

I’m originally from South America, more precisely from Brazil. And South Americans are far less dependent on wheat-based ingredients and use many varieties of root flours to create everyday foods such as breads, biscuit, cakes and so on.

Isabel’s offers British foods with a bit of a twist. Pizza base, dough balls, batter and Yorkshire pudding mixes all created from a specialist blend of ingredients from South America that produce unique products that not only taste delicious, but also offer a gluten-like texture, similar to traditional gluten products.

Isabel’s products are 100% natural, with no additives, artificial flavourings, hydrogenated fats, soya or added sugars.

I hope that my unique brand of foods will capture your imagination, and help to introduce new ingredients and cultivate a taste for more natural foods. Our mission is to produce great-tasting naturally gluten and wheat free foods. Perhaps this favourite Brazilian snack will one day become a favourite in many of the UK households.

Have a break...

You can find some of my products at Waitrose, Ocado and at 20 Asda superstores in the UK. If you’d like to get hold of the whole range, please visit the online store Simply Free.

Many thanks for your interest.
