Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail made with cachaça, sugar and lime and lots of crushed ice.
Cachaça is Brazil’s most common distilled alcoholic drink and it is made from the sugar cane juice.
½ Fresh lime cut into 4 wedges
1 Tbs of sugar
1 Place lime and sugar into an old fashion glass mash the two ingredients together using a pestle or wooden spoon.
2 Add the crushed ice and cachaça mix well and served.
3 Decorated the glass with a slice of lime
Hint: In the absence of cachaça, vodka can be used instead.
